On behalf of His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development - Chairman of the Executive Office of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs - Eng. Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, His Excellency the Vice Minister for Social Development, Mr. Majid bin Abdul Rahim Al-Ghanimi, participated, on Monday, May 1, 2023 AD, in the meeting of the emergency session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs, which was held to discuss the humanitarian and social conditions in the sisterly Republic of Sudan, with the participation of their Excellencies the Arab Ministers of Social Affairs.
In his speech during the meeting, His Excellency stressed the keenness of the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Highness the Crown Prince, to provide humanitarian, relief and charitable aid and lend a helping hand to affected groups all over the world, including the sisterly Republic of Sudan through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center.
The Council of Arab Ministers of Social Affairs expressed its condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims in the Republic of Sudan. It also emphasized its solidarity with the injured and pledged to work towards ensuring their safe evacuation from the crisis.
The Council expressed hope to end the difficult situation in the Republic of Sudan, provide safe and rapid access for the arrival of humanitarian aid, and restore social life and facilities back to normal. Such efforts will positively impact the injured, affected, and all segments of the Sudanese people.
