The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development signed several memoranda of understanding (MoUs) with leading training institutions and private sector entities on the sidelines of the second edition of the Global Labor Market Conference (GLMC). The event, held under the gracious patronage of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, took place in Riyadh on January 29-30, 2025.

These agreements were concluded with the aim of enhancing cooperation in the fields of training, qualification, and national capacity development, thereby contributing to the advancement of the Saudi labor market in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The partnerships included bilateral collaborations designed to support training and skills initiatives, such as the WAAD program and social rehabilitation programs, in conjunction with several entities, including the Red Sea Authority, King Abdulaziz University, Jazan Chamber of Commerce, Jahez International Information Technology Systems Company, Abdullah Al Othaim Markets Company, and Najran University.

The agreements also encompassed tripartite memoranda of understanding between the Ministry, the General Secretariat of Sectoral Skills Councils, and a number of leading institutions, including the Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), Seif Academy, the University of Business and Technology, the Energy Institute, the National Center for Strategic Partnerships, the Higher Institute of Tourism and Hospitality, King Fahd Medical City, the Saudi Entertainment Academy, Sinomi Academy, the National Academy for Construction, and the Health Academy.

In the context of strengthening collaboration between the public and private sectors, the Ministry signed a quadruple memorandum of understanding with the General Authority for Transport, the Human Resources Development Fund (Hadaf), and Work Future Company, which will contribute to the development of the work system and the encouragement of national competencies.

It is worth noting that the conference witnessed high-level participation, exceeding 10,000 attendees, including 40 ministers of labor and more than 200 international speakers and experts representing over 100 countries.
