His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Abuthnain, Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor, met with Ms. Safaa Al-Taib Al-Kougali, Director of the World Bank for the Arab Gulf States, on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh. The meeting was attended by a number of ministry officials.

At the outset of the meeting, His Excellency Abuthnain extended a warm welcome to Ms. Safaa Al-Kougali. The meeting encompassed a comprehensive review of the key areas of cooperation and ongoing and planned projects between the ministry and the World Bank. Both parties explored potential avenues for collaboration to enhance joint efforts in achieving common objectives. Moreover, the latest developments regarding the labor market strategy, which was developed in partnership with the World Bank, were discussed.

At the conclusion of the meeting, His Excellency Abuthnain expressed his gratitude to Ms. Kougali and commended the World Bank's vital and distinguished role through its effective cooperation with the Kingdom, particularly the partnership with the Ministry in the preparation for the second edition of the International Labor Market Conference in January 2025.
