Engineer Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, led the Saudi delegation today in Muscat at the ninth meeting of the Ministers of Labor Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The meeting was attended by their Excellencies the Ministers of Labor from the Gulf nations.
During the meeting, several topics were discussed, including the calculation of the citizens of the GCC countries within the localization percentages in the GCC states, the joint Gulf Cooperation Strategy in the field of labor and workforce, the development of end-of-service reward systems for expatriate labor in the GCC countries, the budget of the Executive Bureau for the year 2024, and a proposal by the GCC General Secretariat related to on-the-job training.
These meetings reflect the efforts of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to enhance mutual cooperation in the labor sector, aiming to keep pace with the global changes occurring at all levels in the labor market.
