Spokesman of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development and the Human Resources Development Fund Khaled Abalkhail revealed a total of 5,829 Saudi males and females have registered for the freelance portal (https://freelance.sa) since its launch on Oct. 10 till yesterday (Tuesday), pointing out 2,024 freelancers received self-employed certificates during this period.

 

Abalkhail clarified HRDF will contribute to a percentage of the General Organization for Social Security’s subscriptions on behalf of  male and female freelance workers registered under the program, adding it aims to offer social protection for them in the Kingdom.

 

Abalkhail clarified HRDF supports those who hold freelance business licenses by paying a share of their GOSI subscriptions, which are directly sent on a monthly basis to the organization’s account.

 

HRDF deposits on a monthly basis in increments of SR540 for the first year and SR360 for the second year of the subscription as the support period last up to 24 months from the date of her or his optional subscription with the GOSI, Abalkhail said as well.

 

Abalkhail urged Saudi males and females to utilize HRDF’s support by registering with the freelance’s portal through the link (https://freelance.sa), as well as getting more details through visiting the HRDF’s website (www.hrdf.org.sa) or contacting the customer service no. (920020301).

 

Meanwhile, the program includes female and male entrepreneurs and independent business owners in the labor market, which aims to provide social protection for them and raise stability of national workforce through providing a suitable and motivating work environment with enhancing productivity and development at workplace.
