His Excellency, Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Social Development, Mr. Majid bin Abdul Rahim Al-Ghanimi, has met today, Wednesday, May 3, 2023, with the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the National Association for the Blind in Riyadh, "Kafeef", during his inspection visit to the Association.
His Excellency has toured the facilities and departments of the Association, during which he has listened to a detailed explanation of the workflow mechanism and the most prominent programs, achievements and services provided by the Association for people with visual disabilities. His Excellency has discussed with the Association officials the mechanism for implementing developmental projects for the blind. He also has met with a number of beneficiaries of the Association of different ages and listened to their requests and proposals.
At the end of the visit, His Excellency, Al-Ghanimi, praised the efforts made by the Association's employees for the blind, indicating that this visit comes within the framework of the Ministry's support and interest in the role of associations in the development of society, wishing the Association's employees further progress and success.
The visit was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Community Development, Mr. Ahmed bin Saleh Al-Majid, the Director General of the General Administration for Technical Supervision of Associations and NGOs, Mr. Suleiman Al-Huwaisin, and a number of officials.
It is noteworthy that the National Association for the Blind “Kafeef” in Riyadh provides developmental and awareness programs and services that contribute to raising the productivity of people with visual disabilities, as the number of its registered beneficiaries is more than 1,500 beneficiaries, along with providing them with many services that are the first of their kind in Riyadh region.
