The Ministry of Labor and Social Development announced the labor inspection teams have joined forces with the security authority under the campaign titled ‘a nation without a violator’ to detect violators of residency and labor violators, resulting in 1,021 nationalization, labor and residency violations through conducting 1,243 visits.

In the aftermath of these rounds, a total of 265 violators of labor and residency regulations were tracked down five regions of the Kingdom last week.

The ministry clarified that the joint inspection campaigns which was launched a week ago detected 296 violations relating to the nationalization, labor and residency regulations in the Makkah region where 288 establishments were visited with 816 rounds and participation of 47 male and female inspectors.

In the Asir Region, a total of 350 inspection visits uncovered 438 violations relating to the nationalization, labor and residency regulations as the labor inspectors detected 104 violators in the Riyadh Region, 17 violations relating to employment of illegal expatriate workers found either working for other employers or their account and 239 violations relating to the feminization of women-only shops.

In El-Khabar, the labor inspectors tracked down 161 violators of residency and labor regulations as well as illegal expatriate workers engaged in cell-phone maintenance and sales business which is in violation of the nationalization decision of the telecom sector.

Additionally, there was 77 inspection visits in Madinah which uncovered 31 violations and closed down 45 commercial shops as part of the joint campaign ‘a Nation without a Violator’.

The ministry urged Saudi citizens and residents to report violations of the labor and residency regulations through the ‘Ma3an lil Rasd’ service’s website (rasd.ma3an.gov.sa) or the unified customer service no. (19911), reassuring that all reports would be dealt with promptness as it is keen to improve and develop the labor market.
