On behalf of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD), the Department for Customer Service and Labor Relations organized a workshop on ‘Labor Education’ for students of the Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University (IMAMU), which came under the emblem of ‘Towards Conscious Labor Market’. The workshop which was conducted last week aimed at educating students who are expected to join the labor market about rights and duties pertaining to labor parties. The gathering also addressed work contract, workers’ rights and duties stated in the contract, wage types, working hours, annual leave and holidays for workers, maternity leave for working women and other general rights. At the end of the workshop, the participants were given certificates of attendance. Meanwhile, the ministry has intensively launched awareness campaigns that target all segments of the society in a bid to protect and ensure rights of workers and employers as well as those of the three productive parties.
