The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, represented by the Social Rehabilitation and Guidance Agency, in collaboration with the National Center for Research and Social Studies, organized a seminar titled: "The Future Challenges of Family Counseling in the Kingdom." The seminar was held under the patronage of the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Social Rehabilitation and Guidance, Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Wahibi. It was attended by numerous individuals interested in the field of family counseling from various government, private, non-profit sectors, and academic institutions.

Dr. Abdullah Al Wahibi emphasized that holding this seminar falls within the framework of the cooperation agreement between the Ministry and the National Center for Research and Social Studies in the field of family counseling. He pointed out that one of the Ministry's objectives is to contribute to raising the standards of practitioners in the family counseling field and improving family counseling services. He extended his gratitude to the Director-General of the National Center for Research and Social Studies and the team for their efforts in the field of family counseling.

The seminar included broad participation from several specialists in the field. During the event, various papers were presented, covering the strategic orientation of family counseling in the Kingdom, the cognitive and skill challenges faced by family counseling practitioners, and how to address emerging family issues. Additionally, the seminar addressed the diversity of entities providing family counseling services and showcased international experiences in the professional and academic preparation of family counselors.

The organization of this seminar comes as part of the Ministry's efforts to enhance family stability and achieve comprehensive and sustainable development goals. The aim is to improve specialized practices by professionals working in the field of family counseling. By doing so, the Ministry seeks to contribute to the well-being of families and the attainment of broader developmental objectives.
