HRSD signed a joint memorandum of understanding with Ibtisam Association to Combat Human Trafficking. HRSD Deputy Minister of Control and Work Environment Development, Mr. Sattam bin Amer Alharbi, represented the Ministry for signature. On the other hand, H.H. Princess, Dr. Madawi bint Abdularahman Al Soud, represented the Association.

The MOU aims at enhancing joint work between both parties and supporting social responsibility of the individual and the society, along with developing policies and legislations on the labor market through facilitating cooperation between both parties in the field of suspicions and human trafficking victims and enacting laws and regulations to minimize and protect people against human trafficking. Besides, the MOU stated both parties’ agreement upon providing hospitality services for victims of human trafficking, including: accommodation, occupational development programs, psychological and health rehabilitation, litigation proceedings, and travel services for ensuring victims’ return to their societies, according to each party’s competencies and roles. The MOU also provides for encouraging and facilitating the procedures for society studies and researches in the field of combating human trafficking.

It is worth mentioning that the HRSD seeks, through such agreements, to access the highest levels of cooperation with all entities and organizations in different fields in order to achieve the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
