Prince Faisal bin Abdullah al-Mushari, CEO of the National Center for Assessment (Qiyas), and Dr. Halah bint Mazeed Altuwaijri, secretary-general at the Council for Family Affairs recently signed in Riyadh a memorandum of understanding to exchange experiences and explore joint cooperation in the field of compressive family assessment. The signing agreement is in a bid to achieve civilizational development for both the family and the society, which comes within Saudi Vision 2030 as well as supports its programs and its strategic goals Dr. Altuwaijri emphasized the MoU is so important for the center because it provides a set of assessments that serve the development of the society and the family including family readiness assessment, positive development assessment and others that help achieve the goals of the council. The council plans to lay out strategic plans for women, children and old people and provide social protection for all family members as the ‘Qiyas’ center helps decision makers to use its multiple assessment tools as a practical method to cater for development needs, the secretary-general of the council said. ‘The ‘Qiyas’ assessments would also help the center to achieve its objectives through obtaining statistics and figures that are necessary for decision-making, which contributes to designing initiatives aimed at realizing the strategic objectives and plans of the council, she added.
