The Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD) deposited social security payments to the social security beneficiaries, as well as monetary support that allows them to pay for food and portion of electricity bills for the month of Rajab. The ministry said the deposited payments are jointly sent at once to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts, which included cost-of-living monthly allowance in respond to the Royal Order. Dr. Ibrahim Al- Shafiei, deputy minister for social security at the ministry, said the total payments deposited to the female and male beneficiaries’ bank accounts reached at SR1.9 billion. For the current month, a total of 920,809 male and female individuals received the ministry’s financial support with the aim of improving their living conditions, Al-Shafiei added. In great details, the social security payments stood at SR1.309 billion as the monetary support that allows beneficiaries to pay for food and portion of electricity bills was SR183 million and SR96 million, respectively, in addition to SR312 million paid for cost-of-living allowance.
