His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development Eng. Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi received on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, Her Excellency the Minister of State for Labor and Industrial Affairs of the Republic of Uganda, Mrs. Esther Davinia Anyakun, at the Ministry's headquarters in Riyadh, in the presence of His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Labor, Dr. Abdullah Abuthnain, and a number of officials from both sides.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister Al Rajhi welcomed the newly appointed Ugandan Minister of Labor and Industrial Affairs. The meeting aimed to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the two countries in an effort to transfer the level of cooperation to new horizons in the field of the labor market.  

His Excellency Minister Al-Rajhi extended an invitation to the Ugandan minister to attend the International Labor Market Conference in its second edition, which will be hosted by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh from January 29 to 30, 2025.  

His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor, Dr. Abdullah Abuthnain, held a separate meeting with Her Excellency the Ugandan Minister, during which he reviewed a number of programs and initiatives related to the regulation of the sector and workers' rights, in addition to discussing aspects of cooperation and developing procedures in the field of domestic workers.  

It is worth mentioning that this meeting comes as part of the Kingdom's continuous efforts to develop its relations and partnerships with friendly countries, in order to achieve common interests and contribute to the achievement of the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030.
