
Spokesman of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development Khaled Abalkhail said the number of Saudi men and women who joined the labor market during the period from January 2017 to December 15 have stood at 121,766.
Abalkhail pointed out the initiatives which was launched by the ministry last September have contributed to the improvement and development of the labor market and empowerment of Saud nationals with raising their participation amid a proper, decent and productive work environment.
The Spokesman highlighted the number of those who joined the labor market in September reached at 28,154 Saudi males and females compared to 48,471 in October, 36,062 in November and 12,280 in mid-December.
Meanwhile, the ministry’s recently-launched initiatives include ‘the enterprise growth program for supporting nationalization’, ‘the telework program’, ‘the freelance program’, ‘the nationalization program for regions’, the part-time job program’, in addition to the ‘activity correction’ campaign and ‘the updated edition of the Nitaqat program.
