"العمل والتنمية الاجتماعية" تنظم محاضرات توعوية لنشر الثقافة العمالية

On behalf of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD), the Department for Customer Service and Labor Relations organized recently a seminar titled ‘Know your rights before you join the labor market’ held at Princess Nora bint Abdul Rahman University in Riyadh. The seminar comes as part of other gatherings aimed at spreading awareness of rights and duties and displaying articles of the Labor Market that regulate the contractual relationship between workers and employers. At these gatherings, students who are expected to join the labor market can ask legal questions on wages, annual leave and holidays, training and rehabilitation and others. Additionally, these seminars are in a bid to develop the work environment and empower workforce in order to contribute to the national economy within the legal framework, which regulates the relationships between the labor parties and protect their rights as well. It is noteworthy that MLSD launched the Labor Education website for workers and employers as it offers the ‘Labor Advisor’ service which allows customers to inquire about the Labor Law and its executive regulations. The website also provides awareness on several labor issues relating to employment contract, end of service rewards, termination of work contract, training and rehabilitation, working hours, annual leave and holidays, women work, in addition to offering ‘end of service reward calculator’.
