وزير العمل والتنمية الاجتماعية يدشّن عددا من الخدمات التطويرية في المركز الوطني للتوحد بالرياض‬

H.E. Minister of Labor and Social Development Dr. Ali bin Nasser al-Ghafis launched on Monday a number of units and development services at the National Autism Center in Riyadh.

Such units aim to develop services provided to children who have minor autism disorder as well as their families, which comes within the ministry’s corporate social responsibility in cooperation with its partners in the private sector like Saudi Aramco and Alhokair Group.

The minister of labor and social development took a strolls around the center, in addition to leading the opening ceremony of various units including controlled multisensory environment (Snoezelen), occupational therapy, speech problems and the specialized autism library.

The officials of the center gave Dr. al-Ghafis a brief on the programs and services that have been developed, such as improvement of the classroom environment and rehabilitation of those with minor autism disorder based on modern advanced methods.

At the end of his round in the center, Dr. al-Ghafis honored the participating entities who have offered development services to this category.

Kholoud al-Shaya, CSR unit director at MLSD, stressed the programs and services come as part of the ministry’s CSR initiatives and its plans to achieve the National Transformation Program 2020 and Saudi Vision 2030 aiming to improve and develop the services provided to persons with disabilities and their families, which has received undivided attention from the minister of labor and social development.

al-Shaya extends her thanks to the ministry’s team for their efforts in making these programs come to birth at such time, commending the role of the ministry’s partners in the private sector (Saudi Aramco and Alhokair Group) for supporting the implementation of these initiatives.
