"العمل والتنمية الاجتماعية" تنفذ حملة توعوية حول حقوق وواجبات العمالة المنزلية في مطار الملك خالد

The Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD) said its department of customer service and labor relations is implementing an awareness campaign for domestic workers at Riyadh King Khalid International Airport (KKIA).

The move comes as part of MLSD’s efforts and initiatives in spreading labor education across various parts of the Kingdom, the ministry said in a press release.

The one-week campaign aims to educate new comers with labor issues including work contracts, rights and duties, vacation system, medical care for domestic worker and end of service award.

Additionally, MLSD officials also brief them with punishments and fines imposed on those who violate domestic labor regulations, as well as spread awareness of employers’ rights and duties and contract termination terms along with penalties stemming from breach of contract.

It is noteworthy that MLSD has launched the awareness campaign under the emblem of “Towards Conscious Market’ since May. It comes within its keenness to regulate the labor market and labor relations as well, helping to protect rights of domestic workers and maintain their understanding of rights and duties.
