The Sakha Program and the Abdullah Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a central solar power plant. The Memorandum of Understanding was signed on behalf of the Sakha Program by Mr. Nasser bin Mohammed Asiri, Deputy Secretary-General, and on behalf of the Foundation by Mr. Musa bin Mohammed Haddad, Chief Executive Officer. The signing ceremony was attended by His Excellency Mr. Tareq bin Ali Al-Rabea, Assistant Undersecretary for Community Services.

This memorandum aims to alleviate the burden on low-income families by subsidizing their utility bills, facilitate access to electricity for beneficiaries, and reduce costs by harnessing solar energy through a central power station in the kingdom's remote areas.

This comes as part of Sakha's program initiatives to provide the necessary support for the implementation of development programs that have a tangible impact on the community, through the community's philanthropists, as exemplified by the signing of this memorandum through the Abdullah Al Rajhi Charitable Foundation to operate the project.

It is worth mentioning that the Sakha program was launched with the generous support of the wise leadership to achieve a tangible impact in contributing to the development and maximization of civil society participation and the development of development opportunities with economic and social impacts.
