
The first edition of the International Forum for Social Responsibility concluded its activities on Tuesday evening. The Forum, which was sponsored by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud - may God protect him - was inaugurated on Monday by His Excellency, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, En. Ahmad bin Sulaiman AlRajhi. The event was attended by a number of ministers, as well as a distinguished group of CEOs, experts, specialists, and decision-makers in the field of social responsibility, both locally and internationally.
The Forum received praise from the Council of Ministers during its meeting today, where they commended the sponsorship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques for the event. In this context, they also praised the Forum's discussions and the signing of memorandums of understanding, which will contribute to opening new horizons and future opportunities for the sustainability of social development: This will further enhance the Kingdom's efforts and the achievements and leaps it has made in this field.
For his part, His Excellency, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, En. Ahmad AlRajhi, confirmed that the Council of Ministers' praise for the sponsorship of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques of the International Forum for Social Responsibility 2024 reflects the Kingdom's profound commitment to the field of social responsibility. This is achieved through supporting innovation, fostering dialogue, and striving for leadership in this domain, thanks to Saudi Vision 2030. The Forum has led to fruitful partnerships, opening new horizons and providing opportunities for a bright future that strengthens our efforts in building a sustainable society.
At the conclusion of the International Forum for Social Responsibility, Dr. Mubarak bin Mohammed Albogami, Director-General of the General Department of Social Responsibility at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, called on all attendees to continue the dialogue and work together to shape a shared future based on sustainable action.
The Forum was accompanied by the signing of 14 agreements and memorandums of understanding between government and private entities, reinforcing social responsibility initiatives. The event also witnessed the attendance of over 3,000 visitors across more than 40 diverse panel discussions, which addressed the role of organizations and companies in the field of social responsibility. These sessions highlighted strategies for developing social and environmental initiatives. Additionally, the accompanying exhibition, where companies showcased their efforts and achievements in social responsibility, saw a large turnout. Participants actively engaged with the attendees, exchanging experiences directly.
It is worth mentioning that the International Forum for Social Responsibility is part of Saudi Arabia's efforts to strengthen its role in social responsibility. It reflects the growing international stature of the Kingdom as one of the largest and fastest-growing economies in the world. The Kingdom also demonstrates its leadership in addressing global challenges, as it ranked 16th globally in the Social Responsibility Index, according to the Global Competitiveness Yearbook report.
