The Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD) said the number of people who visited the Labor Education website rose to 108,899 in April compared to 99,898 in March. According to the latest statistics released by MLSD, the Riyadh region topped the list with 921 requests on ‘Labor Advisor’ service, followed by the Makkah Region (590) and the Eastern Region (461). Meanwhile, the MLSD launched the Labor Education website to increase awareness of rights and duties and to allow stakeholders to review labor regulations that govern the contractual relationship between both workers and employers. In April, a total of 2,881 inquiries were received from visitors as the percentage of employment contract inquiries reached 22 percent of the total number of inquiries submitted, followed by vacations with 15 percent and then end of service of reward with 13 percent. The labor advisor is one of the services provided by the Labor Education website for workers and employers and allows its customers to submit inquiries on the Labor Law and its executive regulations and the Labor Domestic Regulation in both Arabic and English. Additionally, the website offers a virtual end of service reward calculator as well as display clauses of the Labor Law and those of the Domestic Worker Regulation in order to educate domestic workers and employers about their most important rights and duties.
