This period lasted for three months, beginning on Saturday, 9 Dhu al-Hijjah 1445 AH, corresponding to June 15, 2024, and ending today, Sunday, 12 Rabi' al-Awwal 1446 AH, corresponding to September 15, 2024.

This decision reflects HRSD's and the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health's commitment to ensuring the safety and health of workers by providing a safe and healthy work environment, in line with occupational safety and health standards.

The compliance rate of establishments implementing the ban on working under the sun this year reached 94.6%. During the enforcement period, HRSD, in collaboration with the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health, instructed employers to organize working hours in accordance with the decision to minimize occupational injuries and illnesses. The Council also launched awareness campaigns emphasizing the importance of implementing the decision and published the procedural guide on occupational safety and health to prevent the effects of sun exposure and heat stress. Additionally, an advisory guide for working in high temperatures and under the sun was developed and made available on the website.

HRSD, along with the Council, continues to work on advancing occupational safety and health practices in the Kingdom. Their aim is to foster an excellent work environment and create an attractive labor market by applying the highest local and global standards, as well as adopting the best international practices in this field.
