On Wednesday, August 7, 2024, Eng. Sultan bin Jurais Al-Jurais, Deputy Minister for Social Security and Empowerment at the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, who is also acting head of the Social Development sector, inaugurated the Empowerment Pathways Center in Riyadh.

Through this center, the Ministry aims to provide suitable and sustainable solutions to the challenges faced by social security beneficiaries. The goal is to empower them by providing necessary support, skills, and knowledge through a structured plan that meets labor market needs, assisted by a network of strategic partners offering support services.

The center offers three main pathways through its empowerment program to qualify and empower social security beneficiaries:  The first pathway focuses on education, providing scholarships for specialized programs at universities and colleges, along with necessary support during studies to overcome potential difficulties.
The second pathway concentrates on professional preparation, readying social security beneficiaries for suitable jobs in the labor market by building capacities and aligning qualifications with available opportunities and their requirements.  The third pathway is dedicated to providing job opportunities for beneficiaries, either through program partners or direct employment in appropriate positions.

The launch of the Empowerment Pathways Center in Riyadh follows similar centers to be opened in Jeddah and Dammam this August. The Ministry seeks to empower social security beneficiaries across the Kingdom, finding suitable solutions for their integration into the labor market.
