The ministry of human resources and social development pursues to enhance the volunteering culture between individuals and society as part of its initiatives to achieve the Saudi vision 2023. The year 2023 witnesses positive leaps in volunteering field where beneficiaries of volunteering reached 75 million.

To provide an appropriate environment for the volunteers, the ministry of human resources and social development established the national volunteering platform with more than 1 million registered individuals and 800,000 volunteers, while the number of providers of volunteer opportunities across the platform has reached more than 6 thousand. 

The number of workers in volunteering field reached more than 843 thousand volunteers without repetition, while the number of volunteers with repetition reached more than 3 million volunteers who carried out more than 528 thousand volunteer opportunities. They spent more than 53 million voluntary hours, varying from health, social, economic, environmental, organizational and media fields, in various Kingdom's regions and cities. The percentage of satisfaction of the volunteers in the volunteering work that they participated in reached more than 98% at various levels of general, professional and skillful volunteering. 

In the volunteer program of God guests, more than 131 thousand volunteers participated without repetition and more than 222 thousand repeatedly completed more than 8 million volunteer hours across more than 53 thousand volunteer opportunities.

To build the capacities of volunteer workers, over the past year the ministry has provided more than 19 thousand consultations in addition to 55 workshops that benefited more than 4 beneficiaries and more than 700 entities. Meanwhile, the economic return of volunteering over the 2023 has reached more than 1 billion and 233 million Riyals.

It is worth mentioning that the ministry launched the national platform for volunteering in 2020 to provide a Saudi incubator environment which organized the relationship between the volunteers and the entities that provided the volunteering opportunities. The platform has many services and features, most importantly the safe verification by connecting with the National Information Center in addition to easy access to voluntary opportunities in many fields. The platform also works to document the hours and voluntary efforts of individuals and reflects on "Absher" platform.

The beneficiary page is part of a unified and integrated system that aims to enhance beneficiary satisfaction by improving the efficiency of handling complaints, requests, and reports, and responding to inquiries effectively and efficiently. It also aims to enhance the effectiveness of electronic communication with ministry officials by enabling beneficiaries to access the service of communicating with His Excellency the Minister. This service comes within the framework of the ministry's ongoing commitment to improving the quality of services provided and enhancing the level of interaction with beneficiaries through official digital channels.
