 The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in partnership with the Ministry of Health, announced the resolution to localize the dental profession in the private sector by 35%, starting from Shaaban 29, 1445 AH, corresponding to March 10, 2024 AD. This is one of the two ministries' endeavors to provide more stimulating and productive jobs for citizens in various regions of the Kingdom.

The Ministry of Health explained that it will work to follow up and implement this resolution, which raises the level of participation in the labor market. The Ministry of Health will supervise its implementation in line with the requirements of the labor market and the specialization of the dental profession. 

The Ministry of Health has also confirmed that private sector establishments will benefit from the incentives and support programs provided by the Ministry of HRSD to assist them in employing Saudis, including supporting the recruitment process and searching for suitable employees, supporting the necessary training and qualification process, and supporting the recruitment and career continuity process, in addition to the priority benefit from all localization support programs available in the system, and support and employment programs through the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF). 

The Ministry of HRSD issued a guide explaining the details of localization, professions, and required percentages on the Ministry’s website, stressing the need for establishments to comply and adhere to the provisions, in order to avoid the statutory penalties that will be applied against violators.
