Khaled Abalkhail, spokesman of the ministry of labor and social development, revealed inspection teams uncovered 5,520 labor violations in the cell-phone sales and maintenance sector after they have conducted 13,184 visits since the start of 2017.
The spokesman emphasized the inspection teams continue to track down those who violate the decision that requires employment of Saudi nationals in the sector, as well as penalize non-compliant employers and expatriate workers.
In this respect, Abalkhail urged customers to cooperate with the ministry and report violations relating the nationalization of the telecoms sector through the ‘Ma3an Lil Rasd’ app or contact the unified customer service no. (19911)
All reports would be dealt with a prompt respond as the ministry is keen to improve, develop and regulate the labor sector, Abalkhail said as well.
Meanwhile, the total nationalization of the telecom industry along with its sales, maintenance and accessories aims to generate job opportunities for Saudi males and females who are interested to join the mobile industry in the light of the sector’s ability to provide lucrative income and job stability for them.
Additionally, the nationalization of the telecom sector seeks to limit security, social and economic threats and curb cover-up businesses. It also gives no exception for any sector and any establishment either it is mega, large, medium or small-sized.
