The entities taking part in nationalization of shopping centers and indoor malls in the al-Qassim region will conduct the first career fair at the King Khalid Cultural Center in Buraidah city on August 8.

The fair combines male and female job seekers with employers and shop owners, which is organized by the guided nationalization and social development program in the al-Qassim region including the ministry’s branch, the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), the Social Development Bank (SDB) and the Chamber of Industry and Commerce.

The participating entities announced their readiness to implement the decision aiming to nationalize the shopping centers and indoor malls in the region next Hijri year and exert every effort to ensure its enforcement.
The MLSD along with its affiliates including the HRDF, the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) and SDB have designed training and rehabilitation programs and incentives for Saudi entrants. These programs are in cooperation with the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC).
Such schemes are vital to get Saudi men and women employed in this important sector, in addition to supporting entrepreneurs in establishing their business with access to suitable loans.
Meanwhile, the MLSD is responsible to enforce the decision and launch inspection campaigns alongside the Ministry of Commerce and Investment, the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs and the Governorate of the al-Qassim Region.

The e-training program ‘Doroob’, which is one of the HRDF’s initiatives, offers training courses for those wishing to work in the shopping centers, a move that facilitates employment of students and job seekers as well as meets he needs of employers in terms of qualified national candidates.
The ministry and its affiliates would also formulate public-private partnership to provide transportation and baby care centers for Saudi females employed in these malls, ensuring suitable work environment and career stability for them.
