Riyadh: Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD) reminds the private sector with the date of implementing new Nitaqat Nationalization thresholds as 12-12-1438 AH. MLSD had previously announced an updated Nitaqat Nationalization thresholds required by the private sector in accordance with the changes in the labor market. Employers may access the percentages of the updated Nitaqat Nationalization thresholds by visiting Nitaqat program’s portal on MLSD’s website, MLSD has determined Nitaqat Nationalization thresholds based on the types of economic activities of companies and their labour sizes. To ensure the comparison is more equitable between companies similar in activity and labour size, MLSD introduced new activities, and remapped small enterprises into two categories; Small Enterprises (A) and Small Enterprises (B). This update is part of MLSD's efforts to provide more job opportunities for locals in the private sector, and contribute to reaching the Nationalization targets of the National Transformation Program 2020 and Saudi Vision 2030.
