The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced a change to the Wage Protection System on “Mudad” platform, reducing the allowed submission period for wage protection files from 60 days to 30 days, effective March 1, 2025. This adjustment is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency of the Wage Protection System, support the stability of establishments, increase transparency, and safeguard the rights of both employers and employees.
Previously, establishments were permitted to submit wage protection files covering a two-month period (60 days). Under the new regulation, establishments will be required to submit files for only the previous one month (30 days) to ensure accuracy and adherence to the agreed payment values and deadlines between the contracting parties. The decision to update the allowed submission period was based on a study of submission behaviors among establishment representatives, which revealed that 91% of establishments submit their wage protection files within 30 days of the due date.
By reducing the submission period, the Ministry aims to motivate establishments to comply with the Wage Protection System more promptly and accurately, thereby ensuring timely wage payments. This initiative is expected to bolster trust and security within work environments and reflects the ministry’s commitment to modernizing the Wage Protection System and facilitating file submissions through “Mudad” platform.
The ministry calls on all establishment representatives to regularly submit their wage protection files via “Mudad” platform within the specified period and to review the details of the “Salary Management System.” This will enable private sector establishments to meet the program’s requirements effortlessly, contributing to the stability of the labor market and the protection of workers’ rights.
