Under the patronage of His Excellency Eng. Ahmed ibn Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, the 14th Social Dialogue Forum concluded today in cooperation with the King Abdulaziz Center for Cultural Communication in Riyadh etitled "Social Dialogue for a Promising and Balanced Labor Market".

A group of officials, experts and business leaders participated in the forum, in addition to representatives of workers and employers. The forum included dialogue workshops that addressed a range of vital topics such as: challenges to the sustainability of Localization in the private sector, programs to support training and employment and ways to develop them, motivating, supporting and protecting competition in the labor market, proposing development recommendations for the Qiwa platform, and developing the experience of documenting the employment contract outside the Kingdom, in addition to discussing previous social dialogues.In his opening speech, His Excellency the Minister stressed the importance of social dialogue as a means of enhancing understanding and cooperation between the three different parties of production, pointing to the Ministry's commitment to continue supporting these initiatives that contribute to achieving sustainable development and raising the level of competitiveness in the Saudi labor market.

From his part, the representative of the International Labor Organization, Mr. Peter Rad Maker, praised the role of social dialogue in the development of the Saudi labor market. The Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Secretary-General of the King Abdulaziz Center for Cultural Communication, Dr. Abdullah Al-Fouzan, also pointed out in his speech to the Center's keenness to cooperate with the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development in the Social Dialogue Forum and all topics and forums concerned with this field to develop means of communication and dialogue between all parties.

The Chairman of the Government Team of the Forum, His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for the Labor Sector, Dr. Abdullah Abu Thunain, the Chairman of the Employers Team, Dr. Abdul Ghani Al-Sayegh, and the Chairman of the Workers Team, Eng. Nasser Al-Jarid, reviewed the Forum's axes and initiatives, and the proposed recommendations related to strengthening partnership and investing the opportunities available in the labor market. The Social Dialogue Forum is one of the most prominent national platforms for consultation and cooperation between the three different parties of production in the labor market in the Kingdom. It aims to promote dialogue between the public and private sectors and exchange ideas on the best ways to support and develop the labor market and meet the current challenges.
