The inspection teams of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development conducted more than 700,200 inspection visits to private sector establishments across the Kingdom from the beginning of the year until mid-July 2024. These efforts are part of the Ministry's ongoing endeavors to regulate and control the labor market, ensuring that business owners comply with labor regulations and executive rules.
As a result of these inspections, 88,776 warnings were issued to violating establishments, and 107,329 violations were recorded for non-compliance with several provisions of the Labor Law. Of these, 59,891 violations were related to employers not submitting the wage protection file monthly or failing to meet the Ministry’s specified compliance rates. Additionally, 16,295 violations involved not paying workers' wages on time in their designated bank accounts, withholding wages without legal justification, or withholding part of the wages. Furthermore, the teams recorded 7,662 violations involving the employment of non-Saudis in jobs or sectors restricted to Saudis.
The Ministry’s inspection teams intensified their efforts to monitor Saudization decisions at establishments, conducting 522,092 visits specifically targeting Saudization programs. These visits resulted in the creation of 9,712 quality job opportunities for citizens and achieving the targeted Saudization rates in several sectors, with the compliance rate of establishments with Saudization regulations reaching 93.5%. In collaboration with relevant authorities, the teams also carried out 840 joint visits to gas stations and service centers across the Kingdom.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development clarified that its inspection visits will continue across all establishments in various regions and provinces of the Kingdom. It urges everyone to report any violations by calling the unified number (19911) or through the Ministry's mobile app.
