The memorandum was signed by His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Sultan, Chairman of the Saudi Esports Federation, and His Excellency Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, Minister of Human Resources and Social Development.

The Chairman of the Saudi Esports Federation explained that this memorandum reflects the Federation’s ongoing efforts to develop and support the esports community, driving its growth and empowering enthusiasts to pursue their passion. He emphasized the Federation’s commitment to leveraging all efforts to elevate the esports sector. Meanwhile, Minister Al-Rajhi stated that the Ministry aims, through this memorandum, to support, empower, and develop the skills and capabilities of its beneficiaries in line with the directives of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman. He noted that cooperation with the Saudi Esports Federation would have a positive impact on enhancing the mental and social well-being of the Ministry’s beneficiaries by providing enriching digital experiences, expanding entertainment opportunities, and promoting learning, inclusivity, and virtual community integration.

The memorandum includes provisions for developing training programs in esports to equip young men and women with the skills needed to compete locally and internationally. It also aims to raise awareness about the importance of this sector and provide employment opportunities for the Ministry’s beneficiaries. Furthermore, the collaboration will involve organizing esports tournaments and competitions, offering diverse educational programs through qualified trainers from the Saudi Esports Academy, and cooperating on research projects related to esports and electronic games, as well as other related fields.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development seeks, through these agreements, to empower individuals and communities, enhance social responsibility, and build partnerships with governmental and private entities to achieve the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
