His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Engineer Ahmed bin Suleiman Al-Rajhi, participated today in the eighth meeting of the Committee of Ministers of Social Affairs/Social Development in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The meeting took place in the city of Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, and was attended by their Excellencies the Ministers of Social Affairs/Social Development from the Gulf Arab countries.

During the meeting, their Excellencies and Ministers discussed several topics on the agenda, including the decision of the Supreme Council in its forty-first session regarding the Unified Consultative Law for Empowering Persons with Disabilities, the Unified Consultative Law for Volunteering, and the Joint Gulf Cooperation Strategy for Women's Affairs. They also discussed the first initiative of the Social Development Strategy for the GCC countries, which focuses on developing unified policies to strengthen the cohesion and stability of the Gulf society, enhance Gulf citizenship, and promote Arab and Islamic identity. Additionally, they discussed participation in the first round of the "To My Orphan Brother" competition hosted by the State of Kuwait.

These meetings contribute to enhancing mutual cooperation among the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to keep pace with the rapid developments in the field of social development that the world is experiencing.
