مبادرات لتخفيف الأثر المالي والاقتصادي على القطاع الخاص

The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has urged private firms to submit their training opportunities via the summer training program ‘Saifi’ before next Saturday (July 15), to allow students to apply for these opportunities.
The ministry said it will pay inspection visits to the firms in order to track down and penalize those who do not follow the ministerial decision No. (1/1047) dated 8/3/1429 A.H regarding the training of Saudi nationals.
According to the decision, any firm that has more than 25 workers must train a percentage of Saudis by equipping them with skills and work experience during the summer time.
The ministry emphasized in a press release the importance of utilizing Saudi young talents through providing on-the-job-training or internship at approved institutes.
The firms can register online via http://saifi.hrdf.org.sa , as the program is supported by the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF).
Meanwhile, the 'Saifi' program offers training opportunities for male and female students who are aged not less than 17, allowing them to sharpen their skills and acquire work experience in order to meet the labor market's needs.
The program offers two types of training, including on-the-job-training and training done by an institute, the ministry added further.
The first one allows the student to be trained inside the company in the private sector and work side by side with the staff to earn firsthand experience and get familiar with the work environment.
The second one takes place at the training premises, which is financed by the private firms being unable to provide on-the-job-training or preferring to train these students in the institute.
