During its participation in the Human Capacity Initiative Conference, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development signed a memorandum of understanding with the American Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM) to discuss training opportunities and develop the skills of employees and beneficiaries of the Ministry’s services. The Ministry was represented in signing the memorandum by the Assistant Undersecretary for Human Resources Development and Training, Mr. Mazen. Bin Muhammad Al-Hamoud, and from the side of the association, the Regional Assistant Director and Head of Business of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Armand Shibo, and the presence of the Undersecretary for Human Capital Development, Engineer Abdullah bin Ali Al-Kabeer.

The terms of the memorandum included cooperation through the professional and vocational certificates project to develop the skills and expertise of workers in specialized fields required in the Saudi labor market, in addition to the agreement of the two parties to exchange experiences and knowledge and joint research work in the field of human resources. The memorandum also included participation in events, activities and programs related to promoting and developing human capital.

By signing these agreements and memorandums, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development seeks to achieve its strategy of a vibrant and possible society, a distinct work environment towards an attractive labor market, by preparing a distinguished national workforce, increasing the level of skills of national cadres, and enhancing human capital to meet current and future needs for the labor market.
