Today, Tuesday, the Council of Ministers agreed to extend the exemption of small establishments with a total of nine workers or less, including the owner, from paying the financial compensation, for a period of (three) years.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development explained that the implementation of the decision will be as follows:

1- Exemption for “2” expatriates working in the establishment if its owner is full-time working there and is registered with Social Insurance.

2- Exemption for "4" expatriates working in the establishment if its owner is full-time to work in it and registered in the social insurance, in addition to if at least one of its employees (other than the owner) is a Saudi national and full-time to work in it and registered in the social insurance. The maximum that can be exempted is "4" expatriates only.
