The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development signed a partnership agreement with Alinma Bank and the Education Support Association (Taalum) with the purpose of providing university education opportunities for the children of families benefiting from the Ministry's programs. This Agreement comes in kine with the Ministry's endeavor to enhance empowerment opportunities and provide family children with professional skills, and empower and qualify them for the labor market.

According to the Agreement, the Bank shall provide financial support of five million riyals via the university education scholarship program, in order to enable the children of families to access the opportunity of university education, qualification and training opportunities and develop the skills necessary to facilitate their joining into the labor market. Moreover, this Agreement comes within the Bank's strategy for social responsibility, which contributes to achieving the goal of equality in educational opportunities within the sustainable development goals (SDGs.) to which the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is committed.

His Excellency the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development for Community Development, Mr. Ahmed bin Saleh Al Majed, stated that the Ministry's efforts are great in achieving the objectives of the National Transformation Program and Saudi Vision 2030. It is also keen to create sustainable development partnerships that enable companies to carry out their social responsibility.

On this occasion, His Excellency Mr. Saleh bin Abdullah Al-Zumaie, Deputy CEO of Alinma Bank, stressed that Alinma Bank is keen to activate its social responsibility to empower communities, strive to achieve financial inclusion and to play its real role in contributing with the appropriate tools and opportunities so as to achieve sustainable development and extend the impact on the whole society.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development supervises, follows up and provides the necessary support and facilities, as Alinma Bank, under the Agreement with the Education Support Association (Taalum), provides university education opportunities for a group of children of the families in greater need in a number of Saudi universities, including covering all tuition fees for the bachelor's degree as well as direct follow-up and supervision on students to ensure that they enjoy the appropriate educational environment and overcoming all the difficulties they may face to ensure that their educational achievement is not affected.

It is worth mentioning that the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development seeks, through concluding such agreements, to reach the highest levels of cooperation between it and all parties, out of its vision of a vibrant and empowered society and a distinguished work environment.
