The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announces that starting from October 3, 2024, those wishing to file lawsuits related to domestic labor disputes will first have to apply through its website through the "Filing a Domestic Labor Lawsuit" service, as the ministry will carry out its tasks in reform and amicable settlement. In the event that an amicable agreement cannot be reached between the parties to the dispute, a referral will be made to the labor courts of the Ministry of Justice to adjudicate these claims.

This decision aims to organize the roles of government agencies and distribute them according to jurisdiction, as the work of the committees for the "settlement of disputes of domestic workers and the like" related to amicable settlement is assigned to the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, and the judicial work involving the adjudication of cases and the issuance of judgments is assigned to the labor courts affiliated to the Ministry of Justice. This comes as part of the continuous efforts of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development to improve laws and procedures to ensure the protection of the rights of all parties to the contractual relationship, thus contributing to the stability of the Saudi labor market and making it more attractive and reliable for the workforce.
