The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced the opening of nominations for the "Labor Award" in its fourth edition for private sector enterprises. The nomination period is open from today until October 31, 2024. The award is one of the ministry's initiatives to recognize the efforts of distinguished enterprises in various categories, encourage the application of outstanding practical models, and promote compliance with ideal workplace standards to enhance competitiveness and encourage the workforce to work in these enterprises.

The fourth edition of the Labor Award for 2024 features four categories for the private sector: "Localization," "Work Environment," "Skills and Training," and "CEO." Each of these categories includes 30 awards. These categories were selected for their strategic importance, aiming to stimulate localization, create job opportunities for Saudi citizens, raise awareness among enterprises, and encourage adherence to outstanding workplace standards. This will improve competitiveness, motivate the workforce to join private sector enterprises, encourage companies to invest in the development of their national human resources, increase employee retention rates, and enhance their professional growth. The "CEO" category aims to honor, highlight, and motivate CEOs for their contributions to creating innovative work models and achieving significant successes that have positively impacted labor market performance in line with Saudi Vision 2030.

The ministry clarified that enterprises meeting the award's criteria and conditions must submit their applications before the closing date. Employees can participate in evaluating the enterprise through the official award website [click here]. This step ensures greater transparency and fairness in awarding the prize and enhances the active role of employees in identifying enterprises that adhere to high standards in work environment, employment, training, and localization. This approach helps achieve the award’s main goals of motivating and recognizing distinguished enterprises across various categories and encouraging them to apply unique models and standards that benefit everyone.

It is worth noting that in the previous edition of the "Labor Award," over 88,000 enterprises competed for 27 awards in 4 main categories, with more than one million employees participating in the survey to nominate enterprises meeting the award criteria.
