"العمل والتنمية الاجتماعية": غرامات مالية وإيقاف الخدمات الإلكترونية عن المنشآت غير الملتزمة بتصحيح نشاطها إلكترونيا

Spokesman of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD) Khaled Abalkhail said the ministry will start penalizing establishments that fail to electronically correct their activity status after the deadline ends.

Abalkhail pointed out the employer who submitted false information or data to the ministry in order to get its services will be fined SR25,000.

The spokesman added that the employer will incur the same amount if he received previous services or visas by providing false information and data to the ministry, and the fine will be increased by the number of workers who take advantage of these services and visas.

Abalkhail urged the establishments that operate under false activities to correct their status registered with the ministry’s website by logging into the firm’s services (www.mlsd.gov.sa).

Abalkhail emphasized the ministry’s keenness to protect the business sector from illegal enterprises and achieve fair competition in business, pointing out it will use multiple channels and send SMS to ask certain ones to correct their status online on the ministry’s website.

Abalkhail added the ministry is planning to launch a service which urges the establishments to correct their activities within the fixed timeframe and allow them to submit complaints online with providing supportive evidence.

He highlighted the ministry is working to regulate and reform the labor market with the aim of creating appropriate work environments, saying the ministry has a mechanism to check the status of certain establishments for the upcoming period.
