Khaled Abalkhail, spokesman for the Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD), clarified the ministry is looking into a complaint submitted by a number of expatriate workers whose salaries have been delayed for three months in Jazan.
The spokesman stressed the ministry has taken the necessary measures against the violating company to claim the workers’ rights.
Meanwhile, the labor inspection team paid a field visit to the premises where the workers work and detected a number of violations, besides wage delay, said Abalkhail.
The ministry automatically stopped e-services for the company that withheld their monthly salaries and forwarded the case to the labor court for preliminary hearing, added Abalkhail.
