As part of its ongoing initiatives to develop the domestic labor sector and ensure the rights of both employers and domestic workers, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development announced today the launch of the "Wage Protection Service" for domestic workers' salaries.

This service aims to ensure transparency in the salary payment process and facilitate it by using digital wallets and accredited banks through "Musaned " platform. This service enhances security and reliability in salary transfers, thus safeguarding the rights of contractual parties.

Implementation of this service will begin on 01/07/2024, for new domestic workers under new contracts. For existing contracts, the application will be gradual based on the number of domestic workers each employer has. Employers with more than four domestic workers will have the service applied to them on 01/01/2025. Those with three or more domestic workers will have it applied on 01/07/2025. Employers with two or more workers will have it applied on 01/10/2025. The service is expected to include all domestic workers by 01/01/2026.

It's worth noting that this service has been optionally available through the "MUSANED" platform since April 1, 2022. It has received widespread positive feedback from clients and contractual parties.

It's worth mentioning that the service of paying salaries for domestic workers through designated official channels includes several benefits for the employer. It strengthens the proof of salaries for domestic workers and facilitates the employer's process of finalizing procedures for the worker upon the termination of the contractual relationship or their departure. Additionally, it contributes to protecting both the employer and the worker in case of any disputes that may arise.
