His Excellency the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Engineer Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al Rajhi, extended his gratitude and respect - to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and His Highness the Crown Prince, Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Council of Economic and Development Affairs, His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz - may providence of Allah surround them - on the occasion of the issuance of the generous royal directive to increase the basic minimum for calculating the pension for those entitled to Social Security by 20%, to extends  the Citizen’s Account Program, and the to open registration to continue offering financial support for beneficiaries of the Citizen Account Program for more three months till the batch of December 2023 G. This generous directive issued reflects the support and care of sagacious Saudi leadership for their citizens of both genders. 

H.E Engineer Al Rajhi also said: “The generous directive to increase the basic minimum for calculating social security pension by 20% directly contributes to meeting the most basic needs of each beneficiary through estimating the calculated minimum pension and providing appropriate support.” H.E also stress on that this increase is a way to always enhance empowerment for the beneficiaries. This Royal directive states the extension of the Citizen Account Program, and extension of registration and financial support disbursed for beneficiaries of the Citizen Account Program for more three months till the batch of December 2023 G to keep achieving the national goals of the sector, which aim to ensure that support reaches the most deserving group of population. 

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development offers collection of development programs that contribute directly to supporting social security beneficiaries, such as: 
Besides the basic pension, there are programs for food support, electricity support, school bag support, and infant feeding (milk support for newborns up to two years old infants). 

The Social Security pension in addition to the scheduled increase will be deposited in the beneficiaries’ accounts starting from the November batch 2023. 

It is worth noting that the total amount disbursed, through the Citizen Account Program to beneficiaries from its launch until the batch of September 2023, amounted to175 billion riyals, and the number of beneficiaries subscribed to the program so far is more than 11.3 million, both of direct and indirect beneficiaries.

The developed Social Security System seeks to establish the necessary means and measures to address the most impoverished cases, and to ensure offering a minimum income that meets the basic needs of each beneficiary by means of estimating the calculated minimum pension, consequently providing appropriate support, besides providing social support and protection to the beneficiaries- taking into account the most needy and the most deserving-, and developing mechanisms to ensure assistance to beneficiaries.
