
The Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD) organized on Tuesday a workshop at Dulani Business Center to educate stakeholders about conditions relating to nationalization of sales of 12 economic activities, which come into effect on Sept. 11 (at the beginning of 1440 A.H). The workshop which was attended by representatives from the private sector and the public sector aims to allow involved parties to understand conditions and explore a final draft of the guide. Additionally, the workshop discussed the ministerial decision aimed at nationalization sales of 12 economic activities, the timetable, the role of the decision in providing job opportunities that are motivating, productive and stable for Saudi men and women in various regions, in addition to exploring ways to enhance their participation in the Saudi economy, comprehensively. At the gathering, the workshop laid out general conditions that govern the nationalization of sectors in question, shedding light on job opportunities for women, nationalization quotas for these sectors, employment programs and financial schemes provided by the Human Resources Development Fund and the Social Development Bank, respectively. The participants also discussed instructions proposed by the stakeholders and listened to suggestions provided by the representatives from both the sectors.
