Eng. AbdulRahman al-Mutairi, deputy minister for the social development sector at Ministry of Labor and Social Development, said the non-profit sector has undergone a historical phase of strategic transformation which meets the ambitious plan of Saudi Vision 2030.
al-Mutairi pointed out the National Center for Social Studies (NCSS) is established and activated to support sustainable development researches through forming partnerships with universities.
The Saudi woman is a crucial partner in developing the non-profit sector and also plays a vital role in implementing initiatives of the National Transformation Program 2020, the deputy minister for the social development sector highlighted on Saturday at the Non-profit Sector Forum which is organized by the King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals.
al-Mutairi added government entities and the ministry have exerted unswerving support to develop the non-profit sector, adding the coordination between the public entities is in bid to develop the sector which has entered its mature phase thanks to Allah and then to mechanisms set by the NTP 2020.
He continued: ‘We received various ideas aiming to enhance the non-profit sector and establish centers and initiatives for creativity, innovation and sustainability.’
