The Ministry of Labor and Social Development (MLSD) announced that its beneficiaries received last Sunday their social security, as well as lump sum payments that support them to pay for food and portion of electricity bills for the month of Safar.
The ministry said the deposited payments came after combining all financial aids to be sent at once to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
Dr. Ibrahim Al- Shafiei, deputy minister for social security at the ministry, said the total payments deposited to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts reached at SR 1,561,161,257.
For the current month, a total of 886,073 male and female individuals received the ministry’s monetary support with the aim of improving their living conditions, added Al- Shafiei.
Meanwhile, the social security payments reached at SR1,283,999,602 as the lump payments for food and portion of electricity bills stood at SR182,054,544 and SR 95,107,111, respectively.
According to the directive issued by H.E. Minister of Labor and Social Development Ali bin Nasser Al-Ghafis, the ministry merged all types of financial aid under one account to support the beneficiaries in paying for their food and part of their electricity bills starting from last Ramadan.
