المملكة تشارك في أعمال الدورة المؤتمر العمل العربي والفعاليات المصاحبه لها في القاهرة

The Saudi delegation is led by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah bin Nasser Abuthnain, Vice Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Labor, and is attending the meetings taking place in the Egyptian capital from April 19 to 26, 2025. The session is attended by Ministers of Labor, as well as representatives of employers and workers from the member states of the Arab Labor Organization.

The Kingdom’s participation reflects its ongoing efforts to strengthen joint Arab cooperation in the fields of labor and workforce development, and reaffirms its leading role in supporting tripartite dialogue among governments, employers, and workers. The conference agenda includes several key topics, such as comprehensive social policies and their role in promoting economic inclusion, strategies for economic clusters to achieve sustainable development, and the development of labor legislation to keep pace with economic and technological transformations.

In his keynote address, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Abuthnain highlighted the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development’s initiatives aimed at developing the Saudi labor market and enhancing its competitiveness both locally and globally, in support of the diversification of the national economy.

The Saudi delegation, led by His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Abuthnain, Vice Minister for Labor, also participated in the 62nd Coordination Meeting of the Council of Ministers of Labor in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 51st Session of the Arab Labor Conference, with the attendance of Their Excellencies, the Ministers of Labor of the GCC states, as well as representatives from the General Secretariat of the GCC.

During the meeting, participants reviewed a number of topics of related concern, including recent developments in GCC labor markets, the strategic framework for occupational safety and health, and discussions on avenues for cooperation with relevant international and regional organizations.

It is worth noting that the Kingdom’s participation in this regional forum underscores its commitment to supporting joint Arab labor efforts and exchanging expertise in labor policy, in alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which aims to build a thriving and inclusive economy.
